Lovely meal from start to finish. Very reasonable priced considering my partner and me had all 3 courses and coffee. Naomi the waitress was an absolute delight and deserves all the tip instead of having to share as the other waitresses were pretty glum to be honest. Highly recommended as the food was fresh and in season. Thanks to chefs for an amazing meal.
Beautiful building and setting but I always feel the food is average. Especially if you consider the price. However on the balcony on one of those rare summer warm evenings it’s a great place to be. Any other time it’s not really, which is a shame as it could be amazing.

Very good food. A good choice if you are tired of greasy fish and chips or other classical Scottish dishes. They really offer some cuisine : tasty, fresh a creative twist. Good location. Reasonable prices. Best to reserve as it is small and tends to be full (we are not the only ones that like it)
Great family style small restaurant in what was probably an upmarket house in days gone by. The menu caters for up and downscale eating at lunch when we dropped by. They have everything from sandwiches up to steaks and more. The chef gave a great rendition of mussels in a cream and bacon sauce, the hot smoked salmon salad was fabulous and the kids were more than satisfied by the mac'n'cheese and the burger. Our 2 year old did say the kids' burger was underseasoned and lacking in flavour, but that is a fad countrywide.

Great wee find. Everything was full of flavour and quality. Service was great too- special thanks to Denise. We had meatballs, veggie risotto, veggie calzone, pizza, cheezy pasta and garlic bread. All greatly enjoyed. Shame we live 170 miles away buy we will be back next summer. Place is small but it adds to ambience and was not off putting to us.
Not worth the money. The food was just ok. The main problem was the ambient. Tables too close to each other and very noisy, but not only because of noisy neighbors but because waiters kept being really loud with cutlery and expression machine. Almost aggressively. Didn’t help that they kept arguing with each other and it was evident. Overall I didn’t enjoy it and wouldn’t pay the money again.

Reasonable place for a Chinese meal. Good sized portions and reasonably priced.
Very odd version of special fried rice for takeaway last night. Stir fried meat and veggies on a bed of boiled rice. The rice did not appear to have been fried at all, let alone in with the other ingredients. Still quite tasty though.

Sometimes food choice is better than others. Very little choice if you can't eat spices or chillies. Excellent service and value for money. Would recommend.
Has improved slightly since the last time I was in, but the 3 stars is due to their ridiculous £2-£5 fine if you don't eat all the food on your plate. I'm tired of this Nanny state nonsense. This is not the 1940s theres no war on so enough of this rationing rubbish old folks moan about. There is no such thing as food waste. It breaks down into natural biproducts and can be fed to farm animals. Edit: you've also done yourself out of future business. Wanted to go there today for a quick bite but knew I would be judged if I didn't eat everything! Congratulations Jimmy Jung you're biased against people with eating disorders and you also support a silly hate group but at least you don't "waste" food. I just went elsewhere where I knew I wasn't under pressure to eat everything. If you're that bothered why don't you eat people's leftovers?

Excellent service and probably the best in The area . I have tried every takeawat in town and Peking House is by far the best Chinese takeaway in Inverness city

Best curry house in town in my opinion. Staff are always lovely and food is excellent. I always bring my visitors here. Atmosphere is always great. It can get very busy, so I recommend booking if you can, but they are also very accommodating if you just show up and are willing to wait.
Absolutely brilliant place to dine, friendly attentive staff, good food, the fact it's been there for thirty plus years says it all.. excellent dining experience..

Excellent all you can eat buffet on Sunday's and Friday's. You can sample as many different curry's as you want. Service is good. I recommend booking if you go on these nights as its very busy if not you might have to wait a while to get a seat.
Amazing food, amazing hospitality at very reasonable price! The food here is not “all the same” like most Indian/Bangladeshi restaurants feel like. All cuties are different and really authentic. The staff is amazing and is always smiling! Really loved the shrimp and the fish here!

Very nice staff. Food is average but very welcome if you are hungry. Clean and uncluttered. Toilet and washroom is a bit 'Indian'. Drinks are basic lagers and wine list with some rather unknown wines. Anyway I was very late and they made a great effort to give me food. That deserves points!
VEGAN FRIENDLY! I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. I went with my boyfriend who is omni while I am vegan. The waiter was incredibly helpful at explaining which dishes were vegan and which could be made vegan. He even came back to let me know which of the chutneys and pickles I would be able to eat. The food was delicious. I was only sorry that we didn't have enough room to eat it all! Overall, great service, delicious food and great knowledge on vegan eating.

Had a wonderful meal here. The food is delicious and the dishes are original and well presented. The staff is friendly overall, but especially our waitress, Lindsey, was a true hostess to us: she was friendly, helpful, funny and felt very genuine. The restaurant has an open kitchen, which adds to its modern concept, but saddly also adds to the busy atmosphere. Since this did not bother us, we are still giving 5 stars.
Exellent food, friendly staff and lovely atmosphere. Don’t forget to upgrade your pizza to smoky chili infused. Ravioli is great. And the yummy the truffle honey goat’s cheese...

Brilliant service. Surprisingly fast service , considering how busy the place gets. Friendly and helpful staff - note is taken of food allergies and they were very helpful in this regard. Food was marvellous , especially the gluten free options. Good atmosphere .
Lovely hot food, good seating area. Arrived at the right time before it got busy. We did not have to wait long before we got our meal.

No frills spot popular at end of the night with. Has range of usual takeaway stuff you would expect. The chicken pakora is one of the highlights - decent kebabs too. Has small seating area.

Great service and all the food is really delicious. Great haggis! Real mild and flavourful. Best I've ever had. Even the side salad is excellent - more than you'd expect from a small salad.
A very good restaurant in downtown Inverness, close to river Ness and castle. It was a very positive experience, service was friendly and attentive, fish was fresh and well prepared. Do not miss the cheesecake. Very much recommended.

Amazing place to eat! The portions are amazing for the value of the money, the staff is always friendly and the service is rapid! Highly recommend!
Amazing seafood platter.. the broccoli soup was delightful and the Mac n cheese was rich with flavours..

The best Indian in Inverness city centre in my opinion. Excellent service and the food has always been delicious. I would recommend booking particularly at the weekends. Highly recommended.
One of the best places we stopped during our trip to Scotland. The food was fresh, spicy, and delicious. The service was good as well--I high recommend it!

My husband and I were looking for a good place for a cocktail in Inverness and read about Bar One in a magazine in our hotel room. When we walked in we immediately felt comfortable and welcome. We are gin drinkers and were pleasantly surprised to learn how many gins are made in Scotland. Grant was working the evening we were there and we feel like we got a very good education on Scotish gins! Grant asked us what we liked and then suggested a few different gins to try. He was very knowledgeable and personable and patiently answered our many questions. His recommendations were excellent! I should also mention the many, many different cocktails on offer there. There were pages and pages of specialty cocktails on the menu. My husband and I highly recommend going to Bar One . . . you will not be disappointed.
Some nice unusual light bites if you're in a hurry and really good selection of drinks. Clean and modern, polite and friendly staff. Worth a visit.

We had two excellent dinners here. Service excellent. Very comfortable atmosphere. Price was reasonable. Would definitely go again and recommended the place to some other travelers.
Very good food in the heart of Inverness. The decor is stylish and the menu is a mix of traditional and more contemporary dishes. This place was recommended by our airbnb hosts and we would go back again for lunch or dinner.

After a full day of sight seeing, my husband and I wanted a restaurant we could walk to which had a varied menu and a good bar. We had heard about Scotch & Rye so that's where we went. It was a quiet evening which we enjoyed after being in the midst of crowds all day. We relied on the recommendation of the bartender as to the kind of gin we had in our gin and tonics. His recommendations were spot on. We ordered nachos to eat with our drinks and they were delicious! The nachos filled us up so we didn't need to order anything else for dinner. We enjoyed our time in this restaurant and recommend it to others wholeheartedly
Very warm welcome to us and our dog! Good food and really good music. Thank you scotch and rye for adding to a very enjoyable day in Inverness .
