Stayed here for 3 nights ,had a couple of issues, glad to say the manager Sarah is very helpful and sorted everything out for me , it made the stay much more enjoyable. Stayed in the castle room which has great views of the river and castle. Edit 2018 Came back to Inverness again for another visit , stayed here again. Rang direct and booked with Sarah. Have to say the staff are very good , room has great views overlooking the river ,opposite the castle. Rooms have been painted since last visit and downstairs has had a full makeover to a high standard. Meal was very nice from the bar and good value. Will definitely come again if I’m the area.
Staying here my last night in Highlands with an early flight tomorrow. Very happy for the simple fitness center with weights , kettle bells, and resistance machine. The restaurant was fair, not great ... I had a chicken Caesar salad that came surprisingly with anchovies ... i paid for it with my card at dinner and they tried charging me the next day as well. This was quickly resolved. My room on the second floor was very nice with a view of Inverness Castle and the Ness River Walk. The building is beautiful with high relief ceilings. I wonder what the history was or if it was always a hotel. 🏴

I am treated like a queen here! The food is scrumptious. The presentation and taste is comparable to an over-priced restaurant, but the cost is reasonable. The hotel has an ambiance of old Scotland. The staff go above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. This is a quiet area. It is close to attractions. There is plenty of room to park (free). The rooms are modern and clean.
Gave us a free room upgrade to a huge room! Tasty big breakfast, reasonably priced tasty dinner with big portions. Very friendly and helpful staff. Hotel is in a quiet suburban location so it is very peaceful.

Accommodation did the job adequately, overnight stopover. Beds very comfortable after a 13hr drive. Room was clean and just like every other Travelodge that we have stayed at. Don't expect the Hilton when paying Travelodge prices.
Average travel Inn. Do not book breakfast. Next door ASDA is a better option. About 2 miles from decent restaurants.

Both myself and husband just love this lovely friendly pub restaurant!! Food good.. service good.. prices are very reasonable... not forgetting the cleaness of the place is very clean ... Which I think is very important...
Great pub grub for very reasonable prices. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. If your based it town it's well worth the walk.

One of the best traditional pubs in the city centre - can really feel the history. Friendly bar staff and regulars mix happily with visitors. Regular live Scottish music at weekends like Ted Christopher for some rousing Scottish songs and other pub favourites to sing along too. Has range of beers including Brewdog Punk IPA on keg. As you would expect decent malts and range of Scottish gins.
Technically we weren't at the bar, but in the air bnb that is right next to it. It definitely gets loud on a Saturday night and everyone in there sounded like they were having a great time. Great music coming through the wall!!

Good food. Good pint. The conservatory was a comfortable eating area.
Steak and ale pie was superb. As was the Thai green curry. Excellent.

Excellent clean and comfortable room. Lovely hosts. We will be back.
Flash back to the 70s. You have to walk milesto get to your room. However, it is clean comfortable, quiet and the staff are welcoming. Breakfast gets a 5/5.
If you would like something truly different you might like to have a look at Airbnb. These are mostly B and Bs provided by people on a very informal basis. The may have a spare room, a yurt, a cottage or a barge with space they can receive guests for a night or a month! The website is highly professional. You can really see what you are going to get. Very well worth a look. Airbnb also show 'conventional' B&Bs as well. Enjoy!

My husband and I had a great time at the rookery nook. Simon was very pleasant and easy to work with/talk to in booking overseas with us, as well as in person. The place was very clean, in good condition, and extremely cozy on a rainy Scotland evening by the fireplace. The place has nice easy access to bus routes and main highways, with a grocery store/gas station close by. We hope to return someday soon.

Excellent facilities. Treated ourselves to a delux pitch own water, electric, waste disposal and TV if required. Staff very helpful. Right on Caledonian canal do nice but walks. Beefeater next door if you like that sort of thing.
Stayed in Torvean on the last night of our NC500 trip. Nice sight with good facilities. We took a walk along to The Premier Inn (2 minute walk) and had dinner in their restaurant.
