Clydesdale Bank

VERY pleasant, helpful and friendly staff, but the opening times are DREADFUL (which is common for banks). I mean come on it closes at 4 in the afternoon some days for gods sake. You get paid a lot to work in a bank... at least keep open until 6.

Dental Surgeries

Castle House Dental Practice

Fairways Business Park Castle Heather, Inverness IV2 6AA, UK – 01463 234598

I followed my dentist here from another practice. Situated in a quiet corner of a business park. Plenty of parking. Staff are pleasant and professional. Smart, relaxing premises. The "reminder" the day before your appointment is reassuring. Thanks.

I was incredibly pleased with the level of attention to details from Kevin. I felt with every visit that he went above and beyond my expectations and what other dentists had and would’ve done. Can’t recommend enough, worth very penny

Fairfield Medical Practice

Fairfield Medical Practice, 22A Abban St, Inverness IV3 8HH, UK – 01463 713939

This the best Medical practice I have ever used (12yr) I have a few medical problems, all the Doctors are brilliant depending on my needs, in particular Dr Flugel and Dr Maclean. I don't understand some of the bad revues

I have been with this practice for several years now, I'm delighted with the care and attention over those years. I mainly see Dr Kate O'hara who is a great Gp. I couldn't fault any of the others when my own gp is unavailable.

What a brilliant practice this is! Fantastic care provided and everything is explained. They organised hospital appointments and set up further investigation in double-quick time; and I'd only just registered with them.

Nice friendly and helpful staff.

Raigmore Hospital

Old Perth Rd, Inverness IV2 3UJ, UK – 01463 704000

I've ust got out of Raigmore Hospital yesterday after foot surgery. The care by all hospital staff (consultant, anaesthesist, nurses, health support workers , OTs) was exemplary. The nurses and auxiliaries on ward 3C were personable, helpful, friendly and professional. Everything was super clean... I'm sure if you stayed still long enough you would be cleaned too 😂. The food was fantastic! both the evening and breakfast meals were hot and tasty. Well done NHS Highland! Well done all the staff at Raigmore hospital! You work incredibly hard to make one's experience a good one. . and for me you have succeeded with distinction!

Having just returned from the GI (endoscopy) unit at Raigmore for an upper gastro intestinal endoscopy, I cannot fault the whole process or the staff in any way. Genuinely fantastic treatment, very professional and i was kept well informed throughout. The surgeon introduced himself as did the nurses. I was nervous as I've had this procedure before at another hospital and was left a little in the dark at times, but need not have worried this time because they were brilliant! Recovery staff were great too, very helpful, great coffee and bikkies and helpful explanation of what to look out for and do back home. My sincere thanks to all the staff, you're a credit to your profession - keep up the good work!

The aim of this site is to reduce the amount of waste that goes to landfill (20.9 million tonnes of it last year in the UK) and recycling is great news for the environment.

Local Restaurants & Places to Eat around Inverness

The Mustard Seed Restaurant

16 Fraser St, Inverness IV1 1DW, UK – 01463 220220

Lovely meal from start to finish. Very reasonable priced considering my partner and me had all 3 courses and coffee. Naomi the waitress was an absolute delight and deserves all the tip instead of having to share as the other waitresses were pretty glum to be honest. Highly recommended as the food was fresh and in season. Thanks to chefs for an amazing meal.

Beautiful building and setting but I always feel the food is average. Especially if you consider the price. However on the balcony on one of those rare summer warm evenings it’s a great place to be. Any other time it’s not really, which is a shame as it could be amazing.

The Riverside Restaurant

10 Bank St, Inverness IV1 1QY, UK – 01463 714884

Very good food. A good choice if you are tired of greasy fish and chips or other classical Scottish dishes. They really offer some cuisine : tasty, fresh a creative twist. Good location. Reasonable prices. Best to reserve as it is small and tends to be full (we are not the only ones that like it)

Great family style small restaurant in what was probably an upmarket house in days gone by. The menu caters for up and downscale eating at lunch when we dropped by. They have everything from sandwiches up to steaks and more. The chef gave a great rendition of mussels in a cream and bacon sauce, the hot smoked salmon salad was fabulous and the kids were more than satisfied by the mac'n'cheese and the burger. Our 2 year old did say the kids' burger was underseasoned and lacking in flavour, but that is a fad countrywide.

Little Italy

8 Stephen's St, Inverness IV2 3JN, UK – 01463 712963

Great wee find. Everything was full of flavour and quality. Service was great too- special thanks to Denise. We had meatballs, veggie risotto, veggie calzone, pizza, cheezy pasta and garlic bread. All greatly enjoyed. Shame we live 170 miles away buy we will be back next summer. Place is small but it adds to ambience and was not off putting to us.

Not worth the money. The food was just ok. The main problem was the ambient. Tables too close to each other and very noisy, but not only because of noisy neighbors but because waiters kept being really loud with cutlery and expression machine. Almost aggressively. Didn’t help that they kept arguing with each other and it was evident. Overall I didn’t enjoy it and wouldn’t pay the money again.
